CIDRA sponsored international commercial arbitration training by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. CIDRA hosted a reception for the forty participants, the eight tutors, Tony Canham, the President of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London and CIDRA members at 3:30 Friday afternoon at Northwestern. The reception was held in the faculty commons room overlooking Lake Michigan on the second floor of the Arthur Rubloff Building at 375 East Chicago Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. The participants were from all over North and South America as well as several people from the U.K. Also, congratulations to Pilar Gonzalez for doing a wonderful job in organizing this event. CIDRA has received a great deal of publicity from this event. Pilar sent thousands of electronic registration packets around the globe. We also sent out 1000 brochures printed by Northwestern. The mailing lists she compiled for us have been useful for the promotion of CIDRA as well.
