Chicago International Dispute Resolution Association
North American Branch
The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators
Announcement
The North American Branch (NAB) of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators ("The
Institute"), Northwestern University School of Law and The Chicago International
Dispute Resolution Association (CIDRA) will conduct the following training programs
in International Commercial Arbitration in Chicago, Illinois on May 30, 31 -
June 1st, 2002.
- International Entry Course
- Fast Track Fellowship Program/Assessment Workshop
These courses will enhance one's education in the field of international arbitration,
and should contribute to a participant's attractiveness to others as a prospective
arbitrator, advocate, consultant or expert witness in arbitration and other
ADR processes. The Institute programs described above can lead to Associate
(A.C.I.Arb) or Member (M.C.I.Arb) status respectively in The Institute and are
a step on the road to the ranks of Fellow (F.C.I.Arb) status.
The Institute, headquartered in London, is recognized worldwide as one of the
leading professional bodies for training lawyers and others in the area of international
commercial arbitration. The Institute, outside the UK, does not administer arbitration.
However, The Institute does offer the opportunity, once the level of Fellow
is fully achieved, to also append the title "Chartered Arbitrator" to your professional
name. A Fellow and Chartered Arbitrator has the opportunity to apply for admission
to the Panel of Arbitrators of the Institute, from which, The Institute will
supply names, on request, to those seeking qualified arbitrators.
